  • Our classical teacher training focuses on teaching the original work as was taught by Joseph Pilates using classical equipment. We stay within the classical system of Pilates, teaching the original exercises and sequences because quite simply put, it works best when trying to help a variety of bodies and gets people results. There is no other style of Pilates that has been tested for as long as the classical work or produces the type of results we see in the classical work.

Apprentices learn how the classical work applies to all bodies and how to use the whole system of Pilates when working with their clients.

Classically trained teachers are equipped to teach all bodies in any studio, be it classical or contemporary.

  • A comprehensive Pilates training is one that covers all the large pieces and most of the small pieces of equipment. Our training is one of the most comprehensive in the industry and covers, the mat, reformer, cadillac, wunda chair, high chair, baby chair, small barrel, spine corrector, ladder barrel, bean bag, and pedi-pole. This is important to know as some studios will only hire comprehensively trained teachers.

  • Classical trainings are based on the original teaching of Joseph Pilates and use classical equipment that was specifically made for Pilates. In our opinion this is the purest form of Pilates and highest standard. It’s also the most difficult to complete and requires dedication to Pilates. A classical certification will allow you to teach in any Pilates studio.

Contemporary trainings are often left to the discretion of the teacher trainer. While some cover all apparatus many these days are no longer true to the original Pilates method and teach a variety of exercises that are not in the pilates system while omitting many exercises that are in the system. Typically contemporary certified teachers can only work in certain contemporary settings.

  • Our training is for individuals who plan on being the best of the best.

In a world of fast track Pilates certifications we pride ourselves on staying true to the authentic method. It takes time for the body and mind to absorb and become familiar with the Pilates method. Similar to systems like Karate becoming an advanced Pilates practitioner cannot be rushed. Since our program takes you all the way from the fundamentals through to the advanced exercises, we are committed to making sure each of our apprentices has enough time between levels to truly understand the work and feel it in their bodies.

Joseph Pilates spent 40 years developing his system of exercises. most of his apprentices trained for 2-5 years before being given the permission to teach. Our training is for students who understand this is a lifelong journey instead of a quick fix. It’s for students who want to become the best and most knowledgable teachers in the industry. If this is you, then you are in the right place.

  • To ensure that we are passing on the best quality of Pilates teaching skills and producing the best teachers in the industry we will require all our apprentices to attend the scheduled contact weekends in person.

While we will have some virtual resources and sessions to support you in-between contact weekend in-person contact weekends are non-negotiable. All contact weekends much be attended before you can complete your final test out.

Any hours or contact weekends that are missed will have to be made up in future trainings before teaching certification is awarded.
